David E. Malick received a Bachelor of Arts in Music, cum laude, from Kent State University in 1980, and a Masters of Theology in Bible Exposition, with honors, from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1984. In 2003, he earned his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Capital University Law School, where he received the Order of the Curia. He has engaged in post-graduate studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, Chicago Theological Seminary, and McMaster Divinity College.
As a professional musician, Dave performed studio work in Cleveland, Ohio, where he also played for Tony Bennett, Steve Allen, Lawrence Welk, Perry Como, Bob Hope, Danny Thomas, Helen Reddy, Dizzy Gillespie, and President Gerald Ford, among others. As a theologian, Dave planted The Chapel in North Canton, Ohio, taught biblical courses at Dallas Theological Seminary and Southeastern Bible College, and published several journal articles.
Dave manages an international trademark portfolio for a major manufacturer and is also engaged in a trial practice representing employers and companies in the defense of various types of litigation, including business disputes, personal injury, worker’s compensation, FELA, and employment matters.
Admitted to practice before the federal and state courts in Alabama, Dave is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association and the Alabama State Bar Association. He enjoys running in marathons and participating in triathlons.
